Welcome to the Gers, the heart of Gascon history. Through this colourfull past you will venture in the romantic world of castles, fortified towns, walled villages, sanctuary townships and castelnaux, villages built around castles.
To give you some ideas: Abbaye de Flaran, villages like Fourcès, Larressingle, Condom, Eauze, Aire sur l’Adous’s cathedral, Bassoues...
Taste dishes, duck and other poultry; fine beverages like Armagnac and fine wines, all specialities of the Gers which exite the taste buds and are the expression of an outstanding art of living. There are many nice restaurants around, from Les Prés of Michel Guérard (3 star Michelin) to many other for every budget.
Jazz, Salsa, country and western music and culture : The Gers plays host to many festivals in summer. Come and enjoy.
We are at twenty minutes from the automobile circuit Paul Armagnac in Nogaro. Many golf courses around, the nearest in Eugénie les Bains, the oldest in Europe at 28 miles.
For our guests who like hiking: we are very near to the GR65, the pilgrim way to Saint Jacques de Compostella.
Other suggestions: pick up our maps to hike in naerby Tursan, or a bit further: visit he Circus of Gavarnie in the Pyrenees national park.
