Château de Lahitte was built in the 18th century for the then owner, who produced wine from the wineyards that surrounded the property. The house was restored in the 20th century, although it was no longer used as a vineyard. It has recently been lovingly restored by the present (dutch) owners and today the house is surrounded by lush parkland and gardens (once the wineyards) with many beautyfull old trees. On a bright day the summits of the Pyrenees are clearly visible from the garden and the château.
